THE Sparks were left to rue a first-half penalty miss as they slipped to a defeat against Hartley Wintney.
Kai Hamilton-Olise burst past his marker in the seventh minute and was brought down, but Dan Moody’s spot-kick was saved by Nick Jupp. Tom Smith then saw a shot blocked, while goalkeeper Danny Bracken denied Calvin Camara before George Turner fired straight at the goalkeeper.
Bracken tipped a snap-shot over the bar, while at the other end Shamal Edwards crossed for Alex Keating, whose strike was saved well by Jupp.
