■ A WINNER for ten-man Hitchin with literally the last kick of the game was rough justice on visitors Leverstock Green.
The visitors’ gameplan had been boosted when they took a surprise lead from a 17th-minute corner with Joe Mcarthy providing the important touch.
An equaliser looked probable when Hitchin were awarded a penalty after Lewis Franklin was brought down but Stephen Gleeson’s effort was saved by Harry Way.
After concerted pressure Hitchin did equalise five minutes before half time, with Lewis Franklin the scorer.
