■ CELTIC recorded an important victory over struggling Wythenshawe. The first two goals came in a lightning fast opening 15 minutes, Ruben Jerome finishing off a fine counter-attack after three minutes and Andy Scarisbrick scoring from a well-worked set-piece 10 minutes later.
Wythenshawe threatened with a couple of half attempts, Wealth Dasilva going the closest, but Jack Tinning hacked his shot clear.
The away side responded when Aaron Chalmers was ruled to have handled the ball, and Demi Rhami stepped up to convert.
