■ RAYNERS Lane moved off the bottom as they pulled off a huge shock defeating promotion-chasing Biggleswade in a thriller at the Eyrie on Friday night.
Goalkeepers dominated the first half, Blade Earley doing brilliantly to deflect Giuseppe Delgaudio’s shot onto a post, while Trent Carter-Rogers twice rescued the Lane dealing with efforts from Adam Hunt.
FC, however, did feel frustrated as three loud penalty appeals were turned away.
The game was decided in the 73rd minute, Delgaudio turning past a defender before firing past Earley.
