THEY took the long way round, but Runcorn Linnets returned to the promotion play-offs places after rolling over depleted Congleton.
Goals inside the opening half hour from Scott Bakkor and Lewis Doyle, who arrowed his shot into the corner following Lewis Crane’s cute flick, put Brad Cooke’s men in control.
The Bears responded, and Ebou Badjie scored from an angle before Matty Gillam’s neat finish made it 2-2.
