■ ATHERTON Collieries survived a late scare to take all three points.
The visitors took the lead after 16 minutes when Kielan Adams slotted home after a clinical counterattack. They doubled their lead after 37 minutes as some fine work from Jav Swaby-Neavin found Harry Showman, who shot through the legs of goalkeeper Zack Noble.
Stafford pulled one back on the brink of half-time when Dylan Scott headed home Ben find an equaliser.
