■ CROYDON survived a late scare before condemning back-markers East Grinstead to a 13th successive defeat.
The Rams appeared to be cruising to victory before Cian McCarthy conceded a penalty in the last minute, prompting his dismissal for a second caution, and Dan Perry halved the visitors’ arrears from the spot. There appeared to be no doubt about the destination of the points when in-form Josh Williams put the hosts ahead on nine minutes – his third goal in as many appearances since arriving from Cray Wanderers.
