THE hosts led at half-time thanks to a goal in the 14th minute from Zaid Al-Hussaini. Centre-forward Alfie Bloomfield stole the ball from Brickies keeper Taylor Seymour and laid it back to Hussain to smash it in.
Despite the attacking intent from both sides, neither keeper was troubled as both defences snuffed out the attacks. Joseph Boachie squandered the best chance of an equaliser heading over the bar from six yards out.
