BARTON bounced back from last week’s defeat by grinding out a win over Aylesbury at The Winton Haulage Stadium.
The first half started relatively quiet – the only attempt was Gouldbourne’s strike from a short corner.
Alfie Warman found the net in the 14th minute.
His attempt was magnificent, and found the bottom corner from 30 yards, to give the Rovers the lead.
The midfielder was replaced just before the interval through injury, and he was replaced by debutant George Joyce.
