■ LOWLY Brantham Athletic were left empty-handed despite a much-improved display.
The hosts, searching for a first league win of the season, took a deserved lead in the 42nd minute when Harvey Stiff finished confidently. Joy was short-lived, however, as Luke Brown struck within seconds of the restart to level for Town.
Brantham continued to compete and regained the advantage 12 minutes from time through Lucas Wells, raising hopes of a long-awaited victory.
