BOTH Shepshed and AFC Rushden & Diamonds looked to bounce back from defeat in their previous games as they began neck and neck in the table.
The pressure in the first half came largely from the away side as Tyler Winters latched onto a deep free-kick via a flick on from Aidan Webster. Winters’ low finish sailed low inside the near post, giving the visitors an 18th-minute lead.
