■ WALTHAM Abbey cemented their place in the Isthmian League North play-off places with a minimum-score victory over struggling Walthamstow at Capershotts.
When the two teams met at the same venue in the FA Trophy in October, the Abbots ran out convincing 6-0 winners, but this was a very different contest.
In fact, it was Stow who created most of the chances and Brad Robinson was by far the busier goalkeeper.
The teams turned around goalless and it was beginning to look like a solitary goal would decide the game, and so it proved.
