HITCHIN Town delivered a composed and confident performance to record a victory away at Barton Rovers in front of a packed stadium.
The visitors started well, controlling possession and creating early openings, although Barton remained organised defensively.
The deadlock was broken in the 37th minute when Taylor Rhiney finished calmly after a good spell of pressure, sending Hitchin into the break with a deserved lead.
