■ NORTHWOOD moved outside of the relegation with a narrow victory over fellow strugglers Rayners Lane, who are now ten points from safety and stuck in the division’s bottom two.
Stephane Bombelenga had already forced a save from Trent Carter-Rogers when, in the 12th minute, a Freddie Ford clearance rebounded to Jon-Jo Bates, who had a clear run at goal and he finished clinically.
After being second best for much of the first 45, Lane began to get into the game and, before half-time, Jeremy Stewart and Kleyton De Biazze Junior went close.
