■ BOTH sides had to settle for a share of the spoils, although new signing Johan Carney-Bryan had the ball in the net on the half hour, only the offside flag to cancel it out.
Bay’s Zuriel Otseh-Taiwo caused problems throughout the first half, providing numerous low crosses into the danger area, but no forward was in the right place to benefit.
The second half continued in the same vein, with Crowborough defending in numbers and Bay hitting too many long balls.
The defenders easily thwarted attempts on goal as the game petered out.
