MALDON & TIPTREE’S  title ambitions suffered a setback with defeat at Stanway Rovers.
The Jammers started brightly and Louise Arrowsmith volleyed over with fifteen minutes played.
Stanway soon assumed control of the game and were ahead after twenty minutes. Nat Mardell’s ball across the face of goal was tapped home by Bennett.
Maldon looked more of a threat in the second half, but couldn’t find a way through a resolute Rovers back line.
