STRUGGLING Downham Town gave promotion-chasers Maldon and Tiptree a real scare as they let an early two-goal lead slip at the Memorial Field.
Two early goals from Harley Murkin left the visitors on the ropes, but they battled back to leave Downham frustrated with only a point to show for their efforts.
