MALDON & Tiptree had to work hard to maintain their promotion push against a determined Grays side that fought bravely but were undone by two set-pieces.
Anthony Wadsworth had the first chance for the visitors but headed wide from close range. For Grays, Caiden-Ellis Remi-Dee showed good pace but his cross was cut out. Maldon’s possession told when a long free-kick into the area wasn’t cleared and Freddie Sears pounced to score.
