■STOTFOLD held out for a superb win on the road in North London as they beat the Lions with a slender success.
After an equal first period, the visitors took the lead after 40 minutes when Adam Turner picked up the ball on the edge of the area and hammered home the volley into the near corner leaving keeper Nathan Bloohn with no chance.
The Eagles doubled their lead two minutes after the restart with Powfil Raposo pouncing on a Lions mistake to judge the bounce and lob Bloohn to double the lead.
