■CROYDON hosted Ashford United in a game that was heavily affected by the gusty wind blowing down the pitch.
The visitors coped with the conditions better, as Croydon consistently overhit the through balls making it an easy task for the Ashford goalkeeper Roshan Greensall.
The only goal of the game arrived in the 16th minute as Kareem Isiaka got a slight touch to put the ball past Amadou Tangara and into the bottom corner.
The second half saw Croydon take the initiative, but they were not able to fashion a goal.
