STANWAY need one point from their final two games to confirm their place in the play-offs after a narrow win over Takeley.
Rovers dominated the first half, but were unable to break the deadlock, despite being awarded a penalty 15 minutes before the interval.
Nat Mardell stepped up and hit his spot-kick against the woodwork for the hosts, who felt they should have been awarded another penalty before the break.
