THE first half was pretty
■ even, if scrappy, with neither team able to get a grip on the game in very windy conditions. Chances were at a premium, and there was very little created to test either side’s goalkeepers.
The Larks were the brighter of the two sides in the first ten minutes of the second half, but not clinical enough in front of goal.
Against the run of play, the breakthrough would come from Bideford’s Finn Roberts, who unleashed a brilliant half volley into the far corner of the net to put the visitors one up.
