■ could tell Hastings needed something from this game to avoid relegation as they produced shot after shot. The U’s continued to dominate the half and were rewarded with the lead before the interval thanks to a brilliant strike from Max Walsh who evaded a harsh challenge from Bay goalkeeper, Harry Haines in the build-up that could have seen him sent off.
