IN the first-ever meeting between Margate and South Park, the visitors were the victors, inflicting a first league defeat on Margate and denying the hosts the chance to top the table.
The hosts had the first chance when Javaun Splatt nodded the ball onto Ryan Husk, but his first-time volley went over the bar. Two minutes later, Splatt curled one onto the cross bar. South Park took the lead after 24 minutes when Alex Body found Finlay Johnson at the far post to tap home.
