A very young Lowestoft Town side were undone by Ipswich U21s after leading at the break.
It took a wicked deflection for Ipswich to open the scoring with Sunday Yussuf’s shot hitting Dylan Ruffles to wrong-foot Ben Self.
The Trawler Boys hit back and two goals in as many minutes shortly before the break turned the tables.
Firstly, Aaron Bullent beat Henry Williamson in a chase for the ball and rounded the keeper to shoot home.
Then a superb run down the left by George Barber saw him hold off two defenders before crossing low for Kyle Haylock to sweep home.
