The Northern Premier League Division One West's two meanest defences go head-to-head on Saturday, when Widnes host Avro.
Only one side – Prescot Cables – has conceded fewer goals than Widnes to date: the home side have let in just 29 goals in 28 games.
Avro have conceded the same number of goals in 28 games, giving them the joint-second tightest back line so far this season.
Widnes are in reasonable form in the Northern Premier League Division One West, with three wins and two draws from their last six games.
With a win and two draws over that period, Avro's form is much worse – they have taken five points from 18, compared to the Whites' 11.
The home side are 10th in the table after 28 games, of which they have won 11 and drawn six, earning 39 points.
The visitors are one place behind Widnes in 11th, with nine wins and 12 draws putting them on the same number of points.
Widnes's last match was on February 24, a 1-1 draw against Chasetown.
Avro lost 3-1 against Bootle last time out, also on February 24.
