Coalville Town to restart in United Counties League

have confirmed they have been offered a place in Step 6 for the 2024/25 season.

Town resigned from the Southern League on May 24 after chairman Glyn Rennocks announced he could no longer subsidise the club.

The FA set a 72-hour deadline at the end of May for the club to submit their proposal for entry into a league along with a business plan to show the club will be sustainable.

After forwarding information on May 31, Coalville received confirmation today that they’ll be able to compete next season in , three divisions lower than Pitching In , where they finished 11th last season.

Chairman of the United Counties League Alain Poulain said:

“The League’s position has always been to facilitate the playing of in our area and we will do our utmost to make Coalville Town FC’s stay in our League a pleasant, competitive experience.”

Town have confirmed they hope to appoint a new manager in the upcoming days.
