SOUTH
WILLAND ROVERS started this game with determination on their minds, and in the eighth minute Callum Eastwood was pulled down in the penalty area. The resulting penalty was taken by Josh Searle, but his effort was saved by Thatcham’s keeper George Legg.
Willand kept pressing for the opening goal and Ryan Guppy spun in the area, but his effort cannoned off the post. Thatcham grew into the game and towards the end of the first half Harvey Harry headed wide and Ousman Darboe blasted over when both should have done better.
