TEN-man Bedford deservedly secured a point with a late goal at the Eyrie.
The Eagles were reduced in number when Matt Sparrow was given a red card after a 50/50 clash with Nathan Tshikuna.
Bedford kept Barton at bay for the rest of the half.
The next 45 minutes were also fairly even. Both goalkeepers were kept busy enough.
Barton scored in the 84th minute via a low shot on the edge of the area from Victor Osobu that crept in via the right-hand post.
