JOEY May found the perfect solution to being ruled out through injury until March – by taking his first job in management.
The former AFC Hornchurch player, who has also been on the books of Aveley, Canvey Island and Tilbury, has become joint boss at Essex Senior League outfit Redbridge.
At Oakside, he is partnering old school friend Ricky Eaton. The pair attended Canning Town’s Eastlea Community School together.
May recently underwent surgery after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury to a knee while playing for Hornchurch in January.
