TWO first half goals were enough for Ashton United to take maximum points against bottom-of-the-table side Sutton Coldfield.
It was the Robins who made early inroads as Chekaine Steele just intercepted Nic Evangelinos’ pass to John Pritchard inside the area, and after eight minutes Pritchard put his free-kick straight into the wall after a foul on Evangelinos.
Just one minute later, United were ahead through Richard Smith, who fired home the rebound after Mike Norton’s initial effort was saved by Nick Draper.
