WESTERN PAIR WIN APPEALS

TWO clubs have been reinstated into the Western League Division One to take its numbers back up to 20.
Warminster Town, who finished bottom of the 22-team division last season, and Portishead Town, who finished second from bottom, were due to be relegated to the Wiltshire League and the Somerset County League respectively.
Both appealed to The FA, backed by the league, which did not want to end up two teams short with an 18-club division following the national reorganisation of Step 6.
