FORMER Oswestry Town player Matt Burton has returned to the North West Counties Division One South club as manager.
Burton had previously run Shrewsbury-based Haughmond, who were relegated from the Midland League Premier Division at the end of last season.
He replaces Ryan Butcher, whose side finished fourth from bottom last season. Butcher told club officials he was stepping down due to work commitments.
An Oswestry spokesman said: “As an ex-Oswestry Town player, Matt brings with him a wealth of experience at Steps 5 and 6.”
