floodlight row at a Whits end …at last!

UNITED Counties League returnees Whittlesey Athletic have been handed a £32,718 lifeline in their race against time to hold on to their new Step 6 place.
The Football Stadia Improvement Fund has stumped up the money to ensure that Whittlesey can complete the installation of their floodlights at their Feldale field home by the end of September or face demotion.
Whittlesey face a bill of nearly £47,000 but have reduced the cost by carrying out much of the groundworks themselves and benefiting through public donations.
