MAGSY GETS ON HIS BIKE

SQUIRES Gate legend John Maguire has completed a 100-mile sponsored bike ride to raise money for the North West Counties Premier Division outfit.
Maguire, secretary of the Blackpool-based club who has served in roles from player to chairman over the past 30 years, began his ride from Cleator Moor Celtic’s ground in Cumbria, Gate’s most northerly league opponents.
He ended it later the same day at Gate.
So far his ride has raised nearly £1,400 via www.gofundme.com.
