ASHES BRING IN BLUES’ WINNING DUO

WESTERN LEAGUE

SALTASH United have landed a coup after raiding Western Leasgue champions Helston Athletic of top scorer Rikki Shepherd and Tom Payne.
Shepherd scored 24 goals in 40 appearances as the Blues secure promotion to Step 4 for the first time in their history.
But the striker, who has enjoyed higher level experience with Willand Rovers, while allso finishing as Millbrook’s top goal scorer in 2021/22, has been lured back into the Western League by Ashes boss Macca Brown.
