RICKY Hailstone has stepped down after eight years as manager of he Eastern Counties One North side Whittlesey Athletic – to become the club’s new chairman.
Hailstone led the club from the grassroots Peterborough League up to Step 6, where they finished in 16th place last season..
“After some serious consideration and time off I have decided to step down as manager,” he said. “We had some great times and achieved a lot with two promotions and the cup wins and memories I’ll have forever.”
