CITY stretched their unbeaten league run to eight games, but had to survive a nervy final few minutes before securing the win which kept them level on points with league leaders Tiverton Town.
After going 2-0 up inside 20 minutes - through goals by James Ward and Luke Jephcott - it looked as if it was going to be a comfortable afternoon for the home side against a Hendon side who had won just once all season.
It turned out to be far from easy though for the home side as Hendon refused to roll over and wave the white flag.
