GULLS DO DOUBLE TO GRAB TOPSPOT

CANVEY returned to the top of the Bostik North after completing the double over Grays.
The Gulls took the lead in the 44th minute when George Sykes was brought down inside the area.
The forward had run the ball from deep into his own half before being hauled down by Ryan Mahal.
Mitchell Gilbey stepped up and sent on-loan Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeeper Ben McNamara the wrong way from the spot. It was 2-0 on 68 minutes when a superb through-ball from Ryan Charles released Sykes in behind the defence.
