YATE had to defend in depth before taking the points with a late double from Steve Davies.
Marine peppered the Yate goal early on before Josh Parsons and then Joe Selman hit the post in two more incisive moves.
The pattern continued after the break, though Yate grew in confidence as Marine began to run short of ideas against a stubborn defensive wall.
Harvey Rivers did well to save with his feet from sub George Kellow before an eagle-eyed assistant spotted a handling offence and Davies found the net with his spot kick.
