IT’S never easy for any player to make a jump of three divisions. But that was the task facing Spennymoor Town’s David Foley after he joined the club from South Shields in the summer.
The move surprised many, with Foley leaving the quadruple- winning Mariners for National League North-bound Moors. However, the former Hartlepool United man has made the jump to Step 2 with consummate ease.
He made the perfect introduction to life at Brewery Field, scoring the winner in their 1-0 win over Stockport County on the opening day of the season.
