THE NEW SAINTSare a point clear at the top of the JD Welsh Premier League, but had to settle for a point after being held 1-1 at Newtown.
The champions also had to come from behind at Latham Park as the in-form Robins led from the tenth minute when Nick Rushton threaded a pass through for Ethan Jones to slip the ball past Paul Harrison.
That was the way it stayed until the 75th minute when TNS were awarded a controversial penalty after Keiran Mills-Evans was adjudged to have fouled the Greg Draper just inside the area.
