BARRY Town United demonstrated their title credentials with a 1-0 win over JD Cymru Premier champions The New Saints in their own backyard.
Evan Press’ stunning strike on 24 minutes – his first for the club – proved to be a match-winning one.
It came after good work in the build up from Chris Hugh with Press sending an effort from the edge of the box into the top corner.
Barry were also indebted to keeper George Ratcliffe, who pulled off a string of superb saves to deny TNS.
