Leaving Their Rivals Evergreen With Envy

EVERGREEN FC is an FA Charter Standard Community Club based in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire and last year won FA Charter Standard Club of the year.

In April 2012 they opened a new state-of-the-art Astroturf facility and each season continue to successfully build teams across all sections, now catering for seniors, both men, women, girls, andboys and a Powerleague wheelchair team.

The club will use the £50,000 Club Futures grant to fund the build of a new family friendly clubhouse, providing larger facilities at the club for busy training nights, as well as allowing them to cater for the growing junior section of the club.

Another £100,000 will help the club build a new indoor facility which can be used by the wheelchair teams, who are  currently unable to train with the other teams at the club due to the lack of a proper facility.

The club is especially proud of its wheelchair teams. They are determined to use Club Futures funding to create a legacy, building on the success of the Paralympics, making a real difference and opening up a new facility to benefit the wider local community.
