MARGATE manager Chris Kinnear is set to take over at Dover Athletic, The Non-League Paper understands.
The Gate boss is expected to work alongside former Dover midfielder Jake Leberl, and the Whites are set to confirm the pair’s appointment on Saturday at 2pm.
Dover placed manager Nicky Forster on gardening leave today after five straight defeats for the Blue Square Bet South side. Despite their poor form, Athletic remain in third place but chairman Jim Parmenter has acted to address their decline.
Since returning to Margate in April 2011, Kinnear has put the Kent club into the promotion picture in the Ryman Premier. They also currently sitting in third place, their best season for many years.
Other names in the frame were said to be former Aldershot and AFC Wimbledon manager Terry Brown, and ex-Kettering boss Mark Cooper.
