KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS director Gino Ruffinato hopes the club's players and coaching team will be paid in full by club benefactors Ernie and Kath Lane this week after more cash issues at Aggborough.
Manager Gary Whild, the Kiddy management team and squad refused to talk to media after their goalless draw with FC Halifax Town on Saturday. It is understood they opted not to as they have only been partly paid their monthly wages.
Harriers have sold the likes of Chey Dunkley, Nathan Blissett and Marvin Johnson this season while Kyle Storer and Michael Gash also left the club.
Speaking after the game on Saturday, Ruffinato said the Lanes should once again cover the shortfall.
“Money is always tight with club of our size and when you're going for promotion, you do stretch yourself,” he said,
“There are a few issues but hopefully they will be resolved over the next week or so. The Lanes have always been good to Kidderminster Harriers and I'm sure they will continued to do so.
“It all deflects from what goes on on the football pitch. If we had won the previous games and had a few more in the crowd I don't think it would be an issue at all.
“If a club this size can afford a 350 budget (£350,000 per year) and your budget is over that, there are three things you can do. You can put the money in which the Lanes have done, you get bigger crowds or you sell somebody.
“At this point there are people (benefactors) that would like to join the club who we have in mind and hopefully that will come to fruition.”
