CRISIS club Hereford United have officially been expelled from the Football Conference after missing their latest deadline to pay football creditors.

The Bulls missed last Thursday’s deadline but were given extra time at the Conference AGM at Celtic Manor on Saturday due to the recent takeover by London businessman Tommy Agombar.

However they have once again failed to comply with the Conference’s demands and their membership from Non-League’s premier competition has been revoked.

The Edgar Street outfit were asked to prove that their £148,000 debt to football creditors was paid but they are also behind on their latest PAYE tax demand and have a winding-up order brought by former boss Martin Foyle still hanging over them.

It’s unclear what league, if any, Hereford will be competing in next season.

The club tweeted: “Hereford United FC has been expelled from the Football Conference.”
