COLWYN BAY suffered a break-in at their Llanelian Road home yesterday – a 22-strong herd of cows!

The animals broke in through the appropriately named Shed End from a neighbouring farmer’s field on Thursday morning before club officials raced to see what the disturbance was.

The cows seemed keen to prove they were more than just hoof ball merchants with enough of them for a traditional 11-a-side game of two calves. Sorry, halves!

After a tense two-hour stand off, head of football in the community Matt Sampson and commercial director Mike Brookes assisted in guiding the cows out of the stadium and back to their home ground. Reports claim they were slow moo-vers!
