STAFFORD RANGERS have secured the permanent signing of forward George Cater from Kidderminster Harriers after he impressed on loan.

The 18-year-old joined Harriers in October after his release from West Brom and was sent out on loan to Evo-Stik NPL Division One South side Rangers.

Cater netted three times in nine appearances, including a double on Saturday as Stafford saw off Carlton Town 3-0 to extend their lead at the top to 12 points.

And boss Neil Kitching has swooped to bring Cater to Marston Road on a permanent deal after his release from the National League strugglers.

After Saturday’s win, Kitching said: “George has got quality in abundance, good feet and can finish. He gives us a threat and can get in behind defences.”
