Veteran midfielder Micah Hyde joins Ware

WARE boss Ken Charlery is hoping the addition of vastly experienced midfielder Micah Hyde will mean less dropped points for his side.

Charlery was appointed Ware boss in November, replacing Kem Kemal, and the Blues have scored plenty of goals since his arrival.

However, the problems have been at the other end and despite leading in their last three Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central games, Ware have lost them all.

Defeats by the odd goal in five at Bedford and Chalfont St Peter as well as a 4-3 home reverse against North Greenford United have led to Charlery taking action.

The former Birmingham, Watford, Peterborough and Barnet man has signed Hyde, 41, and he will be in the squad for Saturday’s game at Egham Town.

Hyde, a former Jamaica international, made 252 appearances for Watford and over 100 for both Cambridge United and Burnley in a long and fruitful Football League career.

The ex-Billericay Town, Aveley and St Albans City veteran has dusted off his boots and Charlery will hope his experience will rub off on the rest of the Ware squad.

Meanwhile, the Blues have lost defender Paul Cooper who has moved up a division to sign for Evo-Stik League Southern Premier side Cambridge City.
